Getting there

Getting to La La Falls in Warburton is an adventure in itself, offering a scenic journey through the Yarra Ranges. Provided below is the map of the La La Falls Carpark.

Note: Don’t type in La La Falls as your destination in Google Maps as it will divert you via Mt Bride Rd (an unsealed road) that goes nowhere! Instead, click through the map above and get directions. The address for the La La Falls carpark is 25 Irruka Rd, Warburton VIC 3799. Google Maps took us incorrectly via Mt Bride Rd and we drove for 15 min or so on the unsealed road getting nowhere before realising that something was wrong. Not just us, we saw a few more cars driving along this road as well as they were all incorrectly diverted by Google Maps!

Also, note that there are NO restrooms at or near La La Falls so be prepared accordingly!

The walk commences next to the carpark.

As you embark on the picturesque walking trail, you will realise that the melodic sound of rushing water guides you through the towering ferns and towering eucalyptus trees. The air is filled with a refreshing mist, and the earthy aroma of the forest awakens your senses!

Although the trail was well-marked and easy to follow, it included steep sections that required some physical exertion, making it a moderately challenging hike. However, there were benches provided throughout the walking trail that you could use to take a short break.

Shortly before reaching the main falls, you will come across a mini waterfall, which is actually a creek, but was very beautiful.

Around a couple hundred meters from here, you will be arriving at La La Falls, where you're greeted by a breathtaking sight — a mesmerizing 15-meter waterfall plunging into a crystal-clear pool below. The sheer power and elegance of the cascades create a tranquil ambiance that allows you to momentarily escape the outside world!

Take your time to marvel at the breathtaking waterfall and its surrounding beauty. You can find several vantage points to capture stunning photographs or simply relax at the bench provided and enjoy a peaceful moment in nature's embrace!

After soaking in the splendor of La La Falls, retrace your steps along the trail to return to the car park. As you make your way back, cherish the memories of your visit and the tranquility that La La Falls has bestowed upon you. While the hike was definitely strenuous, it was worth it as the waterfall was spectacular and the kids loved it!
